The accommodation at Coot Club does nothing to detract from the natural environment. The Boathouses in particular make the most of the magnificent views across the lagoon to the imposing Maanschynkop mountains.
With a nod to the sailing fraternities; the Boathouses, Port, Starboard and Stern, are fabulous nautical-themed homes ideal for relaxed holidays on the water. Lawns, Leeward Large and Leeward Suites (previously known as the Stone Cottages) retain the charm of a typical hideaway tucked into the Milkwood forests with beautiful outdoor seating areas.

PORT – 3 BEDROOM BOATHOUSE

Port Boathouse is a relaxed, inviting escape, perfect for a family or a group of friends. It features three bedrooms—two spacious en-suites with beautiful lagoon views on either side of the living area, plus a cozy twin bedroom with a separate bathroom.
The heart of the house is its open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen, where vaulted ceilings create a bright, airy space that flows effortlessly outdoors. A newly added spacious deck extends from the main living area, complete with a sunken KolKol wood-fired hot tub—an ideal spot to unwind with views of the surrounding fynbos and lagoon. And on chilly winter nights, a wood-burning fireplace adds the perfect touch of warmth and ambiance.

Starboard Boathouse is a charming retreat ideal for smaller families. It offers two bedrooms: a master suite with an en-suite bathroom and beautiful lagoon views, and a comfortable twin bedroom with its own separate bathroom. A snug nook provides an extra space to curl up with a book or simply relax.
The open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen area features vaulted ceilings that give the home a wonderful sense of light and space. From here, doors open onto an expanded deck surrounded by fynbos, where a sunken KolKol hot tub invites lazy afternoons and starlit soaks before wandering down toward the tranquil lagoon. When winter settles in, a wood-burning fireplace keeps the living space warm and inviting.

The newly built Stern Boathouse is the perfect hideaway for couples seeking privacy and charm. With two completely separate master en-suite bedrooms positioned on either side of the living area, it’s designed for a relaxed escape together. The generous port-side suite includes a bath and both indoor and outdoor showers, while the starboard suite offers indoor and outdoor showers as well. Both bedrooms face the lagoon and can be converted to twins, making the house ideal for two couples or a small group of friends.
The open-plan lounge, dining area, and kitchen sit beneath a vaulted ceiling, creating a bright, spacious atmosphere. Large doors open onto a broad lagoon-facing deck with a beautifully integrated sunken KolKol hot tub, perfect for morning coffees, sunset moments, or long soaks under the stars. A wood-burning fireplace keeps the living area cozy on cooler evenings, while a quiet snug nook offers a peaceful corner to read or unwind.
Located furthest from the Clubhouse and reached via an elevated walkway, the Stern Boathouse sleeps up to four guests and offers an easy, restorative retreat immersed in nature.

LAWNS

The newly renovated Lawns is a spacious, family-friendly three-bedroom house with three bathrooms and a loft ‘dorm’ area.
Downstairs: Two master en-suites offer luxury—one with a bath and outdoor shower, the other with a double indoor shower plus an outdoor bath and shower. The third bedroom is a twin but can be pushed together if needed. Guests in the third bedroom and loft share a bathroom with an indoor shower.
Upstairs: The loft has two built-in bunk beds, each with doubles on the bottom and singles on top—perfect for kids or extra guests.
With a double-volume living area, large front veranda, and an upper deck boasting mountain and lagoon views, this spot is made for relaxation. Outside, enjoy the built-in BBQ, fire pit, wood-fired KolKol hot tub, and seating area for sunsets, sunrises, and everything in between!

The two Leeward Large Cottages are set within beautiful fynbos gardens, perfect for small families or couples seeking extra space! Each cottage features a cosy bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a living area with a sleeper couch, ideal for an additional child.
Leeward Large 2 is tucked among Milkwood trees and has its own private garden space. The cottage features a romantic four-poster bed (no twin option), an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and indoor shower, and a living area with a daybed that converts to a single for a child, with space for a camping cot.
Leeward Large 3 offers spacious double accommodation, with a bed that can be split into twins, an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and outdoor shower, and a deck with breathtaking mountain views.

Leeward Suite 1 is a historical stone cottage with a master bedroom (convertible to a twin) and an en-suite with a free-standing bath, indoor shower, and large outdoor shower. It’s the closest accommodation to the Clubhouse and swimming pool, complete with a wood-fired hot tub and a private garden overlooking the lagoon and mountains—ideal for a romantic escape.
Leeward Suite 4 offers double accommodation with beds that can be split into twins, plus a bathroom with a free-standing bath and both indoor and outdoor showers. Enjoy your own wood-fired hot tub on the deck, overlooking the private garden and mountains.
